This ring is handmade by me out of recycled 925 Sterling Silver. It is made of thick metal, purchased from a reputable vendor that creates stock metal from recycled materials. There are four accents on the exterior part of the band; I saw 4 simple, starburst designs representing the four cardinal directions with my jewelers saw.

The original inspiration for this ring was to make something similar to an Uncas midcentury plated ring with bright cut starburst cuts; you can see it in a photograph in the SOLD section and in the last photo here. This ring was made in a more rudimentary, mexican platero style that pairs well with other handmade stacking rings.

The starburst cutouts are embellished and finished with a dark patina so they stand out on the band that has been polished and finished to a mirror shine; there are small imperfections characteristic of my handmade pieces that add to the ring’s character. I hope the next wearer will love the sturdiness and beauty of this band.
